That has got to be very frustrating Stef. Maybe 1000 is too low for you. I know a nutritionist once told me I should eat at least 1500 if I wanted to loose weight combined with exercise. Sometimes if you eat too little your body holds onto everything. I'll be home thursday and we can start walking together to see if that helps to move your scale in the right direction. She also suggested watching what I ate instead of cals. Making sure I ate 3 fruits 4 veg, 3 protein and 4 grains.
Sorry...last comment seemed a little preachy. However, it could have just been an "off" day for you...or moment even. The other day I weighed myself in the AM and by bed time I weighed 6 lbs heavier. The next morning I had lost 4 lbs over night. So, it's very possible you have lost 5 lbs, but were retaining. Watching what you eat is really good, so don't stop. Especially if you have been doing it a whole month. That's awesome so keep up the good work!
i've been pretty good lately food wise and lost three pounds... and then gained them back in two days..... our bodies are weird- but if we keep at it you WILL get results. at least i have in the past so that's what i keep telling myself... because the alternative is give up and be unhappy with my weight for the rest of my life. boo. :)
